The Presidency of the Nordic Council of Ministers rotates annually between the five Nordic countries. In 2021, Finland holds the presidency.
This year, Finland holds the presidency of the Nordic Council of Ministers. The Finnish Presidency will, within the framework of the Nordic gender equality co-operation, carry out activities that focus on hatred and threats, especially online harassment. The presidency will also focus on issues of norms and the counteracting of gender stereotypes, with a special focus on preschools. Men’s care responsibilities, paternity and parental leave will also be a focus area during the year. In the LGBTI area, issues of hatred, threats and violence against LGBTI people will be prioritized.
