Nordic Gender Equality Fund call 2024: earmarked funding for projects on climate action in the Arctic

The 2024 call for the Nordic Gender Equality Fund includes an earmarked effort for projects that focus on gender equality in climate action in the Arctic.

The Nordic Committee for Co-operation and the Arctic Expert Committee are co-financing activities under the Nordic Leadership for Gender Equality in Climate Action programme with DKK 250,000.

The general guidelines of the Gender Equality Fund apply to projects applying for funding from the earmarked action. The funds can also be used to finance parts of a larger project. A maximum of DKK 500 000 can be applied for from the Gender Equality Fund.

The initiative is linked to the Nordic commitment A Green and Gender-Equal Nordic Region 2022-2024, which has three objectives:

  1. Promoting advocacy on the gender and climate nexus in the Arctic
  2. To build alliances and promote international co-operation on the link between gender equality and climate in the Arctic.
  3. Exchanging, developing and sharing knowledge on the gender and climate nexus in the Nordic and Arctic regions
