Roma Women Lead – Roma Women’s Participation and Influence in the Nordic and Baltic Region

Roma Women Lead strengthens Roma women’s participation, leadership and influence in Sweden, Finland and Lithuania. Roma women can face overlapping barriers linked to gender inequality, antigypsyism, social exclusion and limited access to decision-making arenas. The project creates spaces where Roma women of different ages can share experiences, build networks and strengthen their knowledge, confidence and capacity to organise and advocate for change.

Through local dialogue meetings, focus groups and leadership and advocacy workshops, the partners will identify common and country-specific challenges and test methods for strengthening women’s participation. The organisations will also exchange experiences across borders and jointly develop a report, practical methodology material and recommendations. The project aims to build lasting Nordic-Baltic cooperation and strengthen Roma women’s voice and influence in society.
